The Greatest Goal

A record-setting sculpture built with 70,000 welding points.

A record-setting sculptural commission measuring 7.7 metres high and 18.25 metres wide, roughly three times the size of a football goal. Two interlocking torsos form the frame, constructed from recycled steel with over 70,000 welding points, with a recycled steel globe at the structure's core wrapped in living foliage. The goal net was hand-woven by local Qatari fishermen using traditional fishing techniques.
