A 5,400-square-metre land artwork painted with natural pigments.
The largest land artwork David Popa had created to date, covering 5,400 square metres on the grounds of Whitby Abbey. Made entirely from natural pigments painted directly onto the landscape, the work depicted seven Heritage Game Changers holding the roots of a tree, celebrating causes funded by the National Lottery since its first draw in 1994. Ephemeral by design, it lasted a fortnight. Unveiled 1 October 2024 by Sir Tony Robinson.
Delivered as Global Project Manager for MTArt Agency.
